So I'm looking for original shift linkage cable for my 87 civic wagon 4wd manual.
They discontinue from factory. I was wonder if I can use cable from different year to retro fit or direct replacement my old worn out cable?

Not sure about the retro fitting but I know there are some accord years that had cable shifters and also prelude. Maybe even the CRV?   Might be worth it to check the junkyard and measure some and compare.

If you do, let me know what you find as I have a 87 RT also.

Best of luck,

Pat

This cable has been discontinue from Honda.
I'm going to have to get it out and match it with other model year or retro fit somehow.

I was going to suggest looking at the 98-01 CR-V manual shift cables, good luck finding one in the yard though.
