D16A1 Injector Seals

26 June 2014 - 01:26 AM

I bought these seals from summit racing, and I don't need them (the new injectors came with seals). I figure that my dummy moment can hopefully help someone else out. They are Summit part number BCK-158-0308, Beck/Arnley number 158-0308. Summit has them listed for $7.97 plus shipping per injector. I will sell all 4 for $20 plus shipping.

Fancy Footwork (Diy Grip Tape Pedals)

10 June 2014 - 12:19 AM

Alright guys, I have a quick and easy mod for y'all. Skateboard grip tape is ideal for covering the metal on stock pedals and is available in a bunch of colors and patterns.

Here's the process-

Supplies needed:

-Griptape ($5 at any local skate shop) Here's what I got for mine:

-A screwdriver
-A razor blade

Step One:
Remove the rubber pedal covers

Step Two:
Cut the rough shape of the pedals out of the grip tape, leaving a little around the edges

Step Three:
Carefully peel the backing from the grip tape

Step Four:
Working from the center out, press down on the tape, sealing it to the pedals

Step Five:
Using the shaft of the screwdriver, rub the edges of the pedals at an angle with some force. This seals the edges, and makes for an easier cut.

Step Six:
Take the razor blade and carefully trim the excess away

Step Seven:
Take a picture of the end result and go get a refreshing beverage of your choice.

NOTES:

-One sheet of tape will cover 5 or 6 sets of pedals.
-I used the cover for the gas pedal instead of putting the grip tape on the metal base. (Unlike the other pedals, there is a divot in it that would have led to a tear)

Digi Dash Question

17 May 2014 - 11:02 AM

I am looking at picking up a digi dash and trip computer set for my 1g, and I was wondering if they have a vss unit in them, as I am planning to do a blacktop swap.
