I have a problem with my 3g Civic. I swapped engine, tranny, driveshafts and knuckels etc. from 87 CRX AS with ZC1 and now my outer cv-joint started knocking. I bought new one from CRX/CIVIC 1.6-16v DOHC 88-91 because all part cataloques said its the same part and it'll fit.

It looked the same, and I measured it to be sure, but with this new joint my bearing/hub is stuck.

So is it the same joint, and if not, where u guys have bought yours ?

I have an issue with timing belt tensioner (engine is: EDM ZC1/D16A1 from CRX AS 1.6-16v DOHC)

I bought new one from  local partshop and it's not the right one. Offcourse I junked the old one so I dont know how the oem tensioner even looks like. Its pretty hard to find parts in this model in here. The partcatalogs dont even recognize the older ZC1 model and official Honda dealership cant get that part anymore, so my question is:

Is there any HONDA engines that have the same timing belt tensioner ? D16A9/Z5 for example ?

Hi everyone, and greets from Finland ! Its time to start up a little project with my new car, Civic 1.3 1986. Bought the car with new paintjob and cutted rearcoils and adjusted torsionbars, so the car is clean and pretty slammed, but soooo slooow. So it took only few days when I got clear vision of the car at next summer... Let the pics talk:

 

 

And next day it looked like this. Found some rust too 

 

Now the interior is all ripped off and I start with fixing all the rust spots. Then I start to think about increasin body rigidity and fit new seats (havent even bought them yet  )

 

And last but not the least I got the doner car, CR-X 1.6-16v. Been under tree for almost year, and that son of a bitch needed only jumpstart from my Civic and it started with old gas in tank and thousends of rotten leaves on and inside the car    So this is going to be one of those ZC swapped 3gens This is pretty rare car in here, so its nice to build a car u can find at carpark
