THIRD GEN CRX's!! lol.. YES I own 2 Del Sols now.. I never liked them, until I drove one .

Somewhere down the lines I bought one to build for my stepson. I bought it as a basketcase and now its a FULLY done d16z6 SI .. Full Koni reds on skunk 2's, all skunk cambered, NRG 3 points , BWR aluminum LCA's, rear subframe brace, rear tie bar, STANCED on 15x8 +15 CCW in black.. JACKSON RACING SUPERCHARGER (not installed until he learns to drive good)..Kenji tuned ECU po6 converted and chipped for d16z6 . Fully repainted in granada black pearl.. shaved antenna ... 97 speck seats. FULLY murdered out...Mugen wing..etc.. etc.. It is a badass ride.. took me 3 months to build.

And of course I have to do it mint style with a 94' One owner b16a3 factory stock Milano red del sol vtech model. Factory fresh down to the zig zag floormats..

So I'm still into the CRX's just a diferent gen (if some would even call them that, I guess only the Japanese do)

In Europe I've seen them badged as CR-X also. I think it was only in NA where Honda of America has say that they were sold as the Del Sol, I think one reason given is that they (HoA) felt at the time the US market was not ready for the CRX (eco box) to jump that much in price so they marketed it as an entirely new car.

I'm curious about what specifically made you respond to the Del Sol after driving it?  I have one (JDM d15b turbo, NRG everything, Suja1 tuned, 188 to the wheels) and I can't get over how "twisty" the body is, especially with the roof off.  It makes driving the car rather uncomfortable.

And we're willing to bet that the CRX won't be at the bottom of the short list--particularly if the CRX in question is an Si."

It's not twisty at all. Especially after all the suspension upgrades. I rarely take the top-off. I know they have chassis flex, but the 3 point and all the tie bars/ rear uppe tie really tightened it up . and the sell the cabin bars as well.

IMO it is better than the 1G. We ALL know stock 1G's handle like a minivan with blown shocks...... and I can speak from experience. It just handles way better ,is quieter, more comfortable, .. Maybe I'm getting old.. but it is just a fun chassis. especially my DOHC . Vtec until 8,200 RPM is nice .
