No pictures, but I cut a piece out of an old hard drive base. Nice flat slab of black anodized 3/16"-or-so aluminum. A little sealant and I've had no problems with it leaking. I haven't done the EGR side yet out of pure laziness; I've just got the ports on the EGR valve capped.

I know this is old, but here's what i did with mine. It's a 3/4" freeze plug. it fits perfectly. I also used brass pipe plugs to replace the vacuum valves on the back of the intake. I haven't done anything with the EGR yet.
It'll work.............Trust me

Very nice! Did you retap the threads in the IM to get the pipe plugs to fit or did you manage to find some with the right threads (M16x1.0 I believe)?

I just went to the hardware store and found some that threaded right in. I don't remember the size, but I'm pretty sure they were just SAE pipe plugs. Now I just need to find a source for jets for the carb so I can lean it out a little.
It'll work.............Trust me

Sorry I can't provide any pictures-no digital camera! The plugs I used are from FASTENAL and are part number 68614 3/8" MPT solid hex head brass plug. Coated with some Rectorseal pipe thread compound and screwed right in. Also for what it's worth you can replace the oxygen sensor with an oil drain plug (M18 x 1.5) which is Dorman/Motormite part number 65220 which I purchased from O'Reilly's. It is the oil plug from '84 Toyota Tercel among others. To replace the white plastic valve on the drivers side of the intake manifold I used an EXPAND TITE rubber expansion plug part number 02608 for 3/4"-7/8" (19mm - 22mm) hole on which I shortened the rubber plug so it didn't project into the manifold chamber as far and then cut a metal plate that bridged this plug and used the two original valve attachment screws and also the stud of the expansion plug. (Sorry I can't just supply a picture!) This rubber plug was also an O'Reilly's item.

Just purchased some 3/8" brass plugs from Loews. They seam to fit well.
I took out these parts and placed then with the plugs, all 5 the same size.

How did you put the freeze plug in? i didn't see any threads or does it just push in?
