I got a complete gasket kit from JIS. I know where most of them go, but want to use them all in since I have them. I took pictures of each one to document for myself and others to use as a guide. If I labled them wrong, or with an incorrect dicription, or if you know what the gasket is for please respond. Also, if there are other brands that look different, or included different or additional gaskets please add them as well, especially if you have a picture. I also took each picture with a Dime for reference.

All gaskets are rubber or composite unless noted

1 LOWER GASKET SET
2 flywheel side crank
3 oil feeder
4 oil pump side crank
5 lower timing belt cover gaske
6 oil pan
7 left to right a - f
a O-ring for Oil restrictor located in the center rear deck of the block.
b ???
c Oil pump O-ring, you’ll see it when you take off the oil pump.
d water pipe
e water pipe
f water pump

5 looks like the lower timing belt cover gasket

13a thermostat housing gasket
b looks to me to be valve cover bolt seals

14 injector gaskets

15 fuel line gaskets (cannister on the firewall connections) fuel rail gaskets

16 I remember some of the oil pan bolts had gaskets like that on the outside, don't remember for sure.

Good luck

Thanks. I'll add those.

I've only taken off a DX oil pan, but i don't remember those at all. Do they fit in somewhere sneaky?

Lower gaskets looks like you have them right, along with these.

7. a. O-ring for Oil restrictor located in the center rear deck of the block.
b. ? Not sure!
c. Oil pump O-ring, you’ll see it when you take off the oil pump.

Top end gaskets:

9. That’s a DX valve cover gasket BTW
10. EGR gasket (for carbed cars, not on Si’s)
12. a & b. not sure, but I’ve never used them (carbed versions?)
c. Camshaft end seal (just behind the cam gear)
d. again, not sure
14. Don’t think those are fuel injector O-rings they look too big next to that dime.
16. a. 12 each intake valve seals
b. 4 each exhaust valve seals.

If you love the Elise, drive a Se7en - Caterham or whatever...
It has even less content than the Elise, is less graceful looking
...and changes direction like a ping pong ball whacked by Thor.

The lower timing belt cover gasket that came with that kit didn't fit ... at all. So I bought one from majestic. It wasn't cheap. ~$20. The quality is so much better!

[sarcasm] Good thing this was the gasket I had to buy at full price from Honda since it's sooooo important. [/sarcasm]

The bottom one is from Honda.

12 a & b are for the recirculation pipe found on dx motors (stock) I don't know what D is offhand.

Was there not a list of parts availible in the pack? How much did it cost you shipped?
Honda, because it's hard to look baller in your mom's Volvo.Posted Image
The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

Nope, no list. It was $60 for all the upper and lower kit. I got it at the same time as a short block. Interestingly they didn't charge me shipping for any of it.
