I do have a picture of them side by side but you really can not tell much other then the Aluminum unit is much bigger and shinny. LOL Measuring the same way you did its 1.5 inch thick. Tanks are abviously larger at about 1.75 inch. Not sure if this helps at all.

Toxic I am with you there. In December we purchased our new build home. A month before we closed my motor blew. Thats why it took six months for me to be able to tell everyone how these were going to work. I feel you there. I also got a larger garage. My previous home had a small 3 car. My new one has a 4 car with almost 1000 sqft of space. Much easier to work on things when you dont have to spend an hour making room. LOL. Best of luck with the new home.

All you need to do is order the part in the shopping cart and choose "Local pickup" for the shipping option.

I have been working on the car for the last few weeks getting it ready for a NASA track day. Temps are est to be right around 100 deg at Phoenix International Raceway where we will be at. I will be able to report the results using the new radiator. So far what I did was made a block off plate and wired the fan using the SPAL relay kit so it goes straight off the battery and uses the stock sensor in the bottom of the radiator. I also wired in an override so I can manually turn the fan on while in the staging lanes or during the cool down lap. I am going above what probably needs to be done but I want to cover all bases before I get to the track.

Hi Brandon,

I'm going to guess he just wired the manual switch across the thermal switch (parallel).

basically what he said. The thermo switch triggers and goes to ground and that turns on the fan. So I just tapped my wire in before the thermo switch. The wire then goes into the car to a switch in the car that goes to ground. I would only recommend doing this if your using a relay. If not you will have to get a high amperage switch and run good 10-12 guage wire to it. Otherwise you may get a giant fusable link that will melt.
