Unfortunately Tom, that's probably going to shift even more weight to the front of your car, in addition to your recent additions. Still worthwhile to get more weight out though.
Weight?

If you love the Elise, drive a Se7en - Caterham or whatever...
It has even less content than the Elise, is less graceful looking
...and changes direction like a ping pong ball whacked by Thor.

True, but I can move the battery back, and the fire system is a few more pounds. I'm going to gut the doors as well, so that will help the ratio. And I'm not getting any thinner...

1984 CRX DX CAN Spec 818kg/1803
1984 Civic 1500s CAN Spec 886kg /1909
1984 Civic HB Std 4spd CAN Spec 814kg/1794
1985 CRX HF US Spec 1713lb
1985 CRX DX US Spec 1819lb
1985 Civic HB 4spd US Spec 1836lb
1986 CRX Si US Spec 1953lb
1987 CRX Si US Spec 1978lb
1987 Civic HB 1500s CAN Spec 890kg
1987 CRX DX CAN Spec 832kg
1987 Civic Std 4spd CAN Spec 838kg
1987 CRX Si CAN Spec 897kg
All these figures are from factory Honda Brochures. Seems to me the only time a Civic HB is lighter then a CRX is if your comparing a std Civic with CRX Si. Trim level to trim level, CRX is lighter. HF CRX is the all time lightest 3rd gen Civic hands down

My current '84 Civic in G-Prod trim (gutted, lexan rear windows, weighs in at 1910lbs with 2 gallons of fuel left in the cell, weighed with a much more 'mature' (fat ) driver. The car has an additional 25lbs or so that I can still remove, but I'm lazy and I don't have too. I would figure my car weighs about 1725lbs easy and could get down to 1700 with very little work.
The driver hopes to loose 15-20lbs in the next seven weeks or so. Now that the Wisconsin glaciers have started to recede, the roads have cleared up enough to start riding my mountain bike again.

That being said, I’m only about 20 lbs over what I would consider my ideal weight and I am working on it .
God, that sounds like I'm making excuses doesn't it?
BTW......That was a rhetorical question!

HA, I just read that again and realized 'THAT' can be taken more ways than I'd intended it.

Max load: 2,640 lbs.
Inside dimensions: 12' x 6'2" (LxW)
30bucks.
im trying to get this 87SI crx and trying to be as cheap as posible!
its either this trailer. which I THINK it will fit... just have to crawl out the hatch.LMFAO
or go ahead and use thier Tow Dolly 40bucks
im trying to be cheap transport as posible...LOL
tho i think the towdolly would give me beter milage due to the lighter weight......
BUT the rear wheels would be on the ground.
tho he does say the wheels in the rear are good but the front wheel bearing he says needs to be replaced.... as well as a tune up cause it runs ruff he says. i hope its a quick fix!

tho it would probably be cheaper to tow with since its alot lighter....
so gas to and fro would probably be cheaper and easier to load.....
but the open trailer would keep all wheels off the ground so i wouldnt have to worry about any extra wear on this car....
HUM i wonder how much thier car hauler costs to rent... tho its not online.....
only thing id worry about it is scraping thier guide rails......
