Hey everyone I was curious as to what oil you guys use, how often you change it, and what brand filter.

I currently am using royal purple synthetic 10w-30 oil with a fram filter. I'm going to use the Honda filters starting my next oil change. I change my oil at every 5000 miles.

I have 137,000 miles with a bit of oil leak, leaks a drop or two everyday after running the car. Not sure if I should be using something else or up to 10w-40.

I would say that a 10-30 synthetic is ideal for a daily driver. I break in on dino oil at redline, switch to synthetic mid season, and buy what ever oil is on sale, usually 10-30 or 10-40, Dave

Of all filters, I've read/seen Fram is not the brand to use.  I've seen Penzoil and Purolator for these cars.  Not sure if Mobile 1 makes this size.  That would be my pick if it were available.  You can't go wrong with Honda filters.

Going to Hawaii? You need a Dune Buggy.

I use Mobil 1 5w-30 with a WIX or ACDelco oil filter.

As of right now I'm debating on what High Mileage oil to use. I just picked up some Honda oil filters.

Thinking about Mobil 1 Full Synthetic High Mileage, Valvoline High Mileage or Penzoil.

Anyone else thing Mobile 1 is over rated and expensive just because of brand popularity?

I didn't start using mobil1 until I bought a car that only used mobil1 full synthetic.  Prior to that I used Castrol full synthetic for my 1988 CRX.
