They are studs in my experience. So screw it out of the intake and replace it. Note I didn't say it would be easy.

Yes you can. A few hoses, throttle cable and nuts.

I have a spare manifold if you don't have any luck extracting the stud.  Just PM me if/when the time comes.

Save yourself a lot of frustration...remove the IM, take it to your local automotive machine shop and have them remove it. I struggled with trying to remove a broken exhaust manifold stud in my Civics head for two days and my machine shop got it out and replaced the stud in less than two hours for $30.

another Q and A I think I am having injector problems which is why my poor CRX isn't running. Is there any way to fix injectors that aren't working?

No.  Just replace them all.  You can get refurbished units from Rock Auto for $25 ea.  If they don't list them for the CRX, get 86-89 integra.  Any OBD0 Civic / CRX / Integra injectors will work.

So I threw in some starter fluid, and other than the fire that started (it was small blew it out) the car turned and kicked back hard and just turned. On my other thread the peeps said firing order is that a consensus umong everyone or is there an underlying problem that would keep this vehicle from starting?
