it's official, the socal fire season has started early this year. my house is surrounded by smoke, and i have no clue where it is coming from. i'm actually surprised it hasn't started earlier with all of the temperatures above 110 lately.

See, that's why I live in PA - no wildfires, no earthquakes, no tornadoes, no hurricanes - just drive-by amish shootings. laugh.gif

Good luck out there.

I just hate it sooo much when awesome places like Catalina island burn.
if my home was in danger i would seriously think about doing a surrounding gravel landscape, lol

The whole water shortage deal isn't helping...

I live in norcal, but I can still usually point our 3-5 fires on any given drive!! ohmy.gif

I thought that was a bit strange-- lightning starts about 400 fires in NorCal up to the Oregon border....

on the same day they allow gay marriages! wink.gif

Hate the smoke! It's nothing on the magnitude of Southern California's epic fires, but in Virginia Beach we're having to contend with smoke from fires in the Great Dismal Swamp and North Carolina. I thought I'd left that wildfire stuff behind when I moved away from Florida, but nooooo. Decisions, decisions: smoky commute in 33mpg CRX w/no AC, or less smoky commute in 16mpg Dakota w/AC...

OK, I'll be a little more direct-- these have been called "upprecedented" lightning storms.

I don't ever recall hundreds of fires....maybe Someone is throwing lightning bolts because He doesn't like gay marriage.

Maybe this should be voted on again...even though the court overruled the last vote!

Be mad at me all you want, but I didn't start the fires! laugh.gif
