here are some impressions from the restoration of my CR-X.
it`s a EDM CR-X AS 1986 with brown top ZC1 (1.6 16V DOHC) engine, 120 PS. it has 92`000 km / about 58`000 miles.
work is still in progress. the last pic shows the actual condition.
the car will be driven on public road as well as on race track. it kept it`s stock greek white. no further body modification, i want to keep it clean and close to stock :-)
all modifications can be undone if that would be wanted some day. i have a second AS as parts supplier, i keep all the stock parts from that car as a back up for mine.
no engine swap, i decieded to keep the ZC1, i will be a little bit optimized.

hope you like what i do to my CR-X, i can`t wait to drive it some day tongue.gif
regards from switzerland

WOW!!

Your car looks fantastic, probably better than original. I have been rebuilding my 87 Si but I feel like I am only doing a half-a$$ed job now. Back to the work shop.

I like the pictures of the suspension pieces, it show just how simply these cars really are. Keep us posted with more pictures. That white color is fantastic too.

Did you made that cage (custom) or did you buy it from some maker.

i bought the cage from germany ..... it`s ultra light, made in CrMo4. lovin`it!
here`s the manufacturer-website:
http://www.wiechers-sport.de/

there`s no chance to drive a self made cage on swiss roads. you need a certificate form the manufacturer.

WOW and awesome have already been used so I'm going with RAD!!

Can't wait to see continued progress. IMO, stripping it all down and building it back exactly the way you want is what most car guys wish they had the time/budget/skills for, tough to get all those stars aligned. Bravo.

Wow man, I just wet myself, that's quite some work ohmy.gif nice work neighbour biggrin.gif

how did you get all those bolts & stuff ? I just had a hard time to find the ones I wanted to change when I took care of my front drivetrain.

You sure it's an AS and not an AF ? I've seen a few white AS but never with a blue interior... yours is ULTRA CLEAN by the way, I wish mine was too sad.gif
