so i finally scrapped the 216k miles of gunk of my engine code and im running an EV1.. yes an EV1.. im kinda curious to the difference between this and the EW1 in relation to mounting ect.. Im jumpin between 3 swaps i've been researching and i can't figure out if i should go for the DOHC ZC the B16 VT or the B18 Non-VT.. im prolly gonna go with a SAFMS.. most likely megasquirt. being its the best system for the price

If money isnt a large concern, IMO the best of all swaps for the 1G is the B18C5, or Integra Type-R.
I plan on doing that very swap sometime down the road.
Hard to argue with ~200hp stock 1.8L DOHC.

If youre looking for the best all around deal, I say the 86-87 USDM d16a1 out of an 86-87 Integra is the best.
Find a complete donor car, and youll be all set for parts. The 88-89 Integra isnt a bad choice either just more difficult due to its more advanced electronics.

i pretty much just plan to rebuild the hole damn thing on the ground in my garage over time and when the swaps complete. ill drop all the old shit off the chassis and use a couple of engine hoists to just set the chassis over it and bolt it up.. alot easier said then done but with my 2 engines hoists i could postion the chassis perfectly over the engine tranny and axles.. im not gonna half ass this one like some of my earlier projects.. like shooting 100 shot of nos into a 3 cyl geo metro that was fun.. for about 30 mins

one engine hoist is plenty to lift a 1G off the ground for what youre describing.

well i intend to just lift the front and rear end and scrap everything on the underside. then i roll the chassis in place get it centered and put it on stands then roll the teg rear end in place and wha la its ready to be bolted up (easier said then done but thats general idea) lol
