I tried looking for the article with some sort of description, but there doesn't seem
to be a write up on installing a H22 into the 1G. With the right amount of $$$ any
thing is possible. I bet it doesn't turn as well as it did before...LOL.

Enjoy;

If you look at the front view, it looks crooked but all in all a very cool swap. Now, I'd love to do the same, but put it in the back(tee hee)

I say one in the back, one up front. "Go hard or go home"

I wonder what a H22 1G would run in 1/4?

2.2 liter... do you know what your stock displacement is? 1.5 si dx 1.3 hf... that engine powers a heavy prelude i think... dude there was a point when all of us didn't know squat about hondas. just research alittle. read alot. and then you will know. these questions can be easly answered... try.

what jakob is saying in his post is that it probably lost all of it's handling abillity due to the weight of the engine... sure in a straight line it will fly away but there is no fun in driving a crx straight.
he also mentioned price. big $$$$ went into this project not to mention time. god knows what axles they used probably custom. it still uses the four bolt configuration.

that and i don't think that it is sitting askew. it looks like an optical illussion. the enge sitts towards the driver side. and the frame slants at the light...
no fighting in the war room!

CRX8Grand-> Haha.

I got the url from HondaTech. It's just a gallery link with no article (which sucks).
I just registered to view the gallery at Imagestation and transfered them here.
There's more pics of other swaps; 85 CRX HF H23, 93 Del Sol Si H23, 91 Accord EX
H23, 89 Civic HB H23.

Here is the LINKY

But you have to register to view them.

N1smo-> This motor is from a Prelude and is a waste of money IMO, from what
I've read you can build a mad B16A motor and drop it in with less fabrication
problems. The motor weighs less, there's room for it, and the possibilites are
endless since there is TONS of aftermarket support. Slap a turbo on that, and
you'd eat a H23 CRX for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All probably for the same
price as the swap pictured in this thread.

Hope this helps. JAKOB biggrin.gif

did anyone else notice that H22 is leaning the wrong way?

normally an H22 tilts backwards like the K20, but in that CRX the H22 is tilting forwards, which means its making the car even more front-heavy. (but i concede--there is no other way to do it, i dont think the intake would clear the firewall if it tilted the correct way)
