I've finally found a ZC exhaust manifold for my '87 teg motor in my '84 CRX; my question is: which downpipes will bolt on to this manifold?

Tom, if you have any ideas let me know. BTW how's the project running so far?

Will try to get some pics of my rear fogs and Camaro style dual exhaust when weather permits. Winter has finally reared its frosty head here!!!

P.S.
Is slowpoke my "call sign"?

I have no idea, but I would hazard a guess and say the teg downpipe? I've never seen a ZC manifold, so I am really just guessing.

Car is running good, I still have a couple small water leaks somewhere (interior, not engine!), and there are a few nagging (and really annoying) rattles that I haven't managed to track down yet. Once I get the rattles done, I'm going to try and get the teg dash in...

I plan on going turbo in the spring, that should be fun!

As for your call sign, see this thread.

Don't know what bolts to a ZC manifold, but if you wanna experiment Tom, I think I still have my ZC manifold in my garage somewhere!  I would have told you Frank, had I known you were looking!!

Is the ZC manifold anything like the teg one...oh yeah, you have a header, never mind.

Wes is trying to get me a VX manifold for boost, how long is the manifold, roughly?

Tom, we should have a look at that ZC mani, maybe it would work for the Turbo setup.  It would be worth checking out, I'm sure it flows well too.

It probably does, but I would think it's probably roughly the same size as the one I have now, if I don't get the VX mani from Wes, I'll probably get it. The VX is SO small, it's perfect for boost.

Tom,
The ZC manifold is a 4 into 2; the downpipe has two openings, two pipes joined at the flange downstream. My problem is twofold: the O2 sensor on the ZC is located behind the manifold and impossible to get at when installed. The other problem is the downpipe which angles upward. My possible solutions: weld shut the stock O2 sensor bung and relocate it at the junction of the downpipe, and cut the twin downpipes after the bend, welding a three or four inch section of pipe at the cut and angle them downward.

Tom,
The differences between the teg exhaust manifold and the ZC are: O2 sensor locations, ZC O2 sensor located in the rear of the manifold; impossible to change once installed. The ZC is a 4 into 2 design whereas the teg is 4 into 1.

I have modified the Civic downpipe I found at the junkyard; lengthed and angled downward. Now I will seal the O2 sensor bung and weld a new one on the downpipe, at the "Y" junction.

I have a ZC Ex Mani and I dont think the CRX One will bolt onto it nor do i think the teg one will, I got lucky with mine the downpipe was unbolted so I got away with it. the CRX and teg D.P.'s are both 4-1 and the ZC is 4-2-1
