I rode in this car several years ago at a autoX I even tried buying it but it didnt work out. cars looking good although I have a black 85 si and I have to admit that the 2 tone baltic blue si's are great looking cars. I would opt to keep it 2 tone. but however I bet it will be beautiful no matter what.

Funkmaster,
Do you know how much more room those fenders will give? JW, looking good BTW are you going to keep it two tone?

I havent seen the car in person yet with the kit mounted so I dont really know how much extra room there is if any.
ITs going to be solid baltic blue. I have some pics of a 2-tone blue/grey mugen CRX and I just didnt care for it.

Im going to try to make it down to the body shop this coming wed. and take some pics of it.

From looking at the JDM Mugen crx at the JCCS show the Mugen kit adds no extra room, the edge of the fender is in the same location as the stock fender but the fronts look to give extra clearance if the tires are tucked under the fender. Plus the rear is unchange considering the stock fender is still under the kit and supports thge kit. The kit looks to be completely cosmetic but still awsome.

wow, that's going to be one baddest-ass CRX!!!

$1750 for the kit is not bad considering what you're getting. (bumpers, fender, quarter, header, etc...) plus the exclusivity..

and sounds like your car is in good hands.
when it is going to be done? and what's underneath?
Recyling is not the answer. Using less to begin with is.

For pieces, its not too bad price wise.
For me it was worth it, considering I had a small fender cracker in the car.
Damaged the front bumper cover, both fenders, and one of the bumper supports.
So rather than replacing brittle plastic parts with mroe brittle plastic, I decided to go for the hosueman kit.
Id always wanted the Mugen kit, and IMHO its really the only kit that fits the car properly.

I dont have any solid date for it being done, but I told them I would like it finished by springtime.
I am being patient with the body shop for a coupel fo reasons. They do fantastic work, you guys should check out some of thier pics on Xtreme Kreations, and they are giving me a HUGE price discount since my dad brings them regular work.

As for "whats underneath" Im assuming you mean other mods.
Well heres the list of whats done, or will be done very soon:
Lightspeed racing front strut brace
Lightspeed racing CAI
Lightspeed racing rear swaybar
Energy Suspension urethane bushings
Earl's SS brake hoses
RPR adjustable panhard bar
24mm Swayaway Torsion bars
Illuminas at all 4
Eibach pro-kit rear springs
Full integra brake setup
Mugen steering wheel
WRX seats
Momo pedals
RPR shift knob (in custom electric blue, or black delrin, or bare aluminum. yes I have 3 shift knobs)
Cusco rear strut brace
Dynomax cat-back exhaust
Mugen MR-5s or if they sell Axis oldskool in gold.
Mugen emblem for the spoiler
Porsche B pillar bar
5150 CF b-pillar garnish
shaved rear wiper & squirter
Alpine CDRW MP3 headunit
Precision Power Art series BLACK A300 & A200 (custom mounted in rear storage bin)
Infinity kappa 4" front stage
Infinity reference 6.5" rears
JL Audio 12w0v3 12" sub in custom enclosure built into spare tire well (may upgrade to Image Dynamics 12")
DST floor mats and trunk pad.
MSD Blaster 2 coil
EDM corner lights
Ebay Clear bumper lights
87si Taillights (smoked)

I think thats all of the current list, but I may have forgotten something(s).
I cant wait till shes done!

BOOYAH!!! Just got back from the bodyshop and they have made MAJOR progress on the car!!!
Front & Rear bumper covers are PAINTED.
Side skirts, PAINTED!

Driver's side rear quater mostly done, and molded in.
Pass side rear quarter still just glued on, needs molded.
Front fenders and header panel are almost ready for paint (headlight buckets will be satin black)
Rear spoiler is on, but needs more work. If you have a 5150 CF wing, THROW IT IN THE TRASH.
This wing is a total PIECE OF SHIT. IT has required HOURS of time to make it fit and will end up having to be painted to look good.
My body man is going to do his best to leave a small portion of the CF unpainted for looks but its going to be mostly body colored.

Wiper and squirter are removed, but the holes for it and the OEM spoiler need to be filled still.

The painted parts look spectacular in person, and the baltic blue just pops when its fresh like this.
I cannot wait to see it all painted and mounted!
Anyway, HERE ARE THE PICS!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!!eleventybillion!!!!
And YES, thats a shelby GT500 mustang that my side skirts are sitting on.... its a clone, but damn.
