First, welcome to the community - hopefully you will find a group of folks that are helpful and knowledgeable about the early Civic/CRX.

You started by asking about a camshaft, then perhaps a complete head...what is wrong with what you have? Do you have a cam that is showing excessive wear or what is the resaon for wanting a new cam? Then, moving to the head - are the two related? Do you have a motor that is tired and needs some TLC to keep it running? Just trying to understand you need - the folks here will bend over backwards to try and help you make good decisions based on the circumstances...me included.

If you need a fresh head then I think there are ways to get you rolling pretty easily...what kind of mechanical skills do you have and what kind of access to tools, etc?

Well what is wrong is my cam bolt came loose and gave the cam gear enough wiggle room to spin on the cam which in turn ruined the key the cam and the cam gear. I would prefer just the cam and cam gear but if some one has a head ill take it just for parts just in case I have bent valves or something I haven't had time to tear her apart yet as far as mechanical skills go I'm a tech at my local Honda shop and I have tools readily available to me thx for the replies already

Did you throw the timing belt or/and is the cam still in time with the crank?

Can you get away with just a new cam gear as the keyway is built into the gear ot is the cam worn? If you are considering replacing the head, think about replacing the head with a PE3 CDM head instead of the PE7 USDM head - smaller combustion chamber (=higher CR).

Is the camshaft keywat damaged? Can you take a picture of it and post it?

I didn't throw the timing belt keyway is broken in two and seperated from the cam gear and the end of the cam where the keyway goes is broken as for a pic it will have to wait till Monday
