Exhaust Option Discovered

In the process of preparing for a new exhaust for my K24 swap in my CRX the exhaust was a concern.  Obviously no one sells a 3” kit for our cars so a custom system was going to be the only option.  I got two quotes for a mandrel bent system and one came in at $2000 the other came in at $1800.

Another member, Dear_Boss, used the 2nd Gen CRX section that goes over that axle and it worked very well for him.  This got me thinking that I could find a 3” kit for a 2nd Gen and use that as a starting point.  TruBendz makes mandrel bent kits that offer just that.  They offer 2.25, 2.5 and 3.0 inch pipe only kits.

I had a local shop use a 3” TruBendz kit as our foundation.  Purchased a cat, resonator, muffler, and VBands to go along with the kit.  For less than $1000 I have a totally custom mandrel bent stainless system.

wanted to share that the 2nd Gen CRX stuff can work.  The guy who built mine said the bends were all in the right spots and made it very easy for him.

Yes, owner is talking about making smaller size pipe systems for classics like ours.
