Hello I saw a post in a forum from PR here is the link CRX POST Sorry guys its in spanish.

But the guy said that the car ran 9.9@136mph in the 1/4 mile track With a DOHC ZC Turbo with a shot of NOS. I'll try to get more info. Maybe if I see it on the track I can get a video of one of its races.

9.9 is a lot to ask out of a 1.6 even turbo. Id like to see teh set up.

well, lookin at these thingys i found on the internet..... if the car+driver weighed 1800 lbs (if its an hf) for it to go 9.9 in teh 1/4 the motor would have to pull 480 give or take to the crank, with 20psi of boost it can produce around 400 hp to he crank(link to tool below), so if he has an 80 shot of nos than it could do it. lol this is just usein some stupid internet tools, but i think 400 to the crank sounds doable on a serious build, say eagle rods eydine 8 to 1comp pistons, ect ect ect. im not sure how well it would hold up but .....

anyways heres links to the tools
1/4 mile calculator and hp calculator

Turbocarged engine power

heh easy tools to use, have fun....

Neat Tools.

Bad math though.

But I think you have to factor in slicks/grip and all that stuff too.

Anyways, I plugged in my weight and 1/4 mile time, and it said I need ~118hp at the crank. I put 118hp at the crank and my weight, and it said the 1/4 mile time would be 15.35. Hmm. dry.gif

Cheers,
Mark

Like I said I'll try to get more info on the CRX. Hard to believe yes, sure. But I've seen some fast 4 cylinder cars in the local tracks here in Puerto Rico, who said a 1G CRX cant be fast also lol.

For example. Sakura in the 7's 4Cyl, 5G Civic hatch in the 9s, Hyundai Accent automatic in the 10's (I got a video from this accent running in the 11's when I got the video), an old school Lancer with a SR20DET engine running 10.42@130mph etc.
