If your looking for one that is already made............why not just get a B16???? huh.gif

The LS does have some nice torque though.

Well I know a few people that have LS/VTEC engines in their cars, yah there is more torque but they are unreliable, two of their engines broke cams (and were built by good shops). Like EastSiderRider said just get a B16, from my experiences they will last alot longer, no doubt some people think highly about LS/VTEC.

im not trying to go off but havign an ls vtec isnt a valid reason for cams breaking. wut im trying to say is the same way a stock gsr can brake a cam the ls vtec has the same probablity it doesnt have a higher chance of braking the cam because its an ls vtec. the torque setting on the cam caps and the quaity of the cast most of the chill casted cores are known to brake its sad that most manufacturers support this process like crower, skunk2, the new buddyclub cams. it really depends on the qualiyt of the chill casted core but you can get a bad set theres already been a broken set of buddyclubs but most company are cool enough to replace them free of charge. theres also people that brake stock cams ive heard of people braking cams because the timing belt was on way too tite. but i only heard.. but back on topic. yea ls vtec does have a reliability issue due to its rod ratio which in turn your not suppose to rev past 7k people think with a b16 head they can go to 8500 or 9k with valvespring but you can if you want but its not made to. if you take it up to 9k a lot spend your time up ther like road racers do its highly possible for the piston to go through the sleeve and coolant go in motor white smoke but yeah back on topic lol. its not that bad reliability wise as long as its built correctly theres a member on hondatech selling a lsvtec imo a b16 vs. lsvtec id chose lsvtec any day of the week. you can get these custom piston that relocate the wrist pin in which increases your rod ratio but you achieve the same torque pretty trippy stuff meaning rev higher and its all good but got the lsvtec powaA. my bad if im all over the place or u cant undersntad my english aint good sheyat. but ask me if you need any help questions.

Yeah ive heard about the reliability issue, well i would like to run the ls/vtec for a while stock then get money together to get like new crower cams and like rods and pistons to rev higher soo i can lead up to a turbo possibly..... i have heard from my buddies that the ls/vtec is a nice set up and not that hard to do anymore.. they also have told me that the b16 head has the best flow for ls/vtec soo i will prolly go with that right now im not looking at buying it im looking at how much it will cost so i could buy it soon..
