The Ferrari Enzo has small vanes on the exhaust tips that close down at low rpms and open up at high rpms.

Scott

the Z06 vette only has 2 of the 4 tips open in the low rpm and a butterfly opens up for the other two in the higher rpm (or something to that effect)

you dont want to screw up the velocity, not the backpressure.  I'd got a bit bigger personally ~2 inchish.  I've got 2 1/4 on mine, mostly because i got the whole system for 80 bucks, no complaints here

so would a 2 inch piping be ok. cuz I still want to keep the higher torque end up if all possible. I just would like some more power so my car can get up faster than it does now. would a resonator help get rid of some of the raspy-ness of the exhaust?? how can I fix that??
thanx

to give you an idea the DC sports header has a 2 inch outlet, and thats one fo the better headers you can get smile.gif (2 or 2 1/4 is prime for an N/A setup IMO)
Resonators will get rid of some mechanical crappy soundingness as well as the high pitch buzz (though it depends on which one you get, they'll all sound different)
Personally I like the sound that a glasspack puts out, it makes it a meaner tone and muffles it a bit better
I didnt notice much of a difference in loss of torque when i put my 2 1/4 exhaust on, just judging by butt-dyno, the top end was a noticeable change though
