Someone from here jus mentioned that i should put a bottol of ethanol/methonmal alcohol, and itll fix my hydrocarbon issue.. is this true? if so, how much, and what kind? meth and eth are different...

I've tried about a 10-15% mix of methanol, and it worked great. You might also bypass the charcoal canister. If it's saturated, it will produce a ton of Hc's. Just make it look like it works, but put a bb or something in the vacuum line. Your cat might be punched out too... so maybe with a new one it'll run cleaner. Just a few ideas

I know it's her responsibility, although my friend wasn't able to locate her as she didn't fill out a change of address form from the post office. He tried for a month or so to track her down, and just gave up and said I could have half of what I sold it for, and as a small business owner myself, all of my off time is very early morning or very late night, and the worth of this car will not go up enough for me to justify the extra effort, hence the mis-signed title included, and the best offer price. If no one here or on high altitude imports ends up with it in a couple weeks, I'll snatch some stuff off of it for my Si, sell a few parts on ebay and clap the rest of it, which is very easy with no title.

location? car isnt worth much, dont think you should expect a trade for a trailor...  just saying.    good luck! if its nearby I'll snatch it up

Yeah... located in Golden, Co... and I know it's not worth that much, but its worth a shot! I'm just thinking IF by some chance you have an extra trailer hanging around, and no cash, let's make a deal!

Ok folks. Selling my newly aquired 1986 CRX Si. My friend was going to do a D16A1 swap, but the lady that sold it to him signed the title wrong, so he gave it to me, and I don't have time to get it sorted out. I've got the incorrectly signed title, and it will be included in the car, but I can't guarantee you can use it. I started searching around, and it's not too bad to title it, you'll just need to bond it (about $300) and wait a few weeks for the state to track it's history to make sure it's not stolen, which I promise you it's not, but it does take some leg work. Ok... anyway, down to the nitty gritty
Car has:
Fairly good body (white color)
Complete interior (dirty, but all there)
Worn driver seat
Decent stock wheels (4 hole things)
Complete FI engine (see below)
Some black front bumper (I don't think it's stock Si)
Newer rear shoes

Car needs:
Drivers rear taillight assy (turn signal bashed out)
Header Panel
Engine work (see below)
Cleaning (tons of it)
Probably lots more work
Battery
3 fuse dealy on pass. inner fender (under hood)

Ok, bad news:
Engine was severly (sp?) overheated. It has almost no compression, and the head is probably badly warped.
I do not want to part it out, yet.
I want it gone by the week of July 11-17 (sooner if possible)
I really don't want to deliver it, but I will for extra cash (500 miles max from 80403 Golden, CO)

Ok, good news:
It's cheap. Make an offer.
I'll consider a trade for a tandem axle car trailer, straight across, unless you have a really nice trailer, then I'll throw some green your way too.
It's got almost no rust!
As far as I know, everything works, except the engine, although it does crank and will run with some work.

More bad news... I can't load pictures... stupid dial up. I'll send you some in your e-mail if you are interested. Post on RPR, E-mail me at [email protected], or give me a call at 720-289-6188. Get with me with any questions. I'm moving the car to my house this week, so I'll be able to answer questions almost instantaniously, as long as I'm not at work.

thanks a ton. I'll keep you guys informed as to my progress. The car was an old ITA club car, so it still has some handling goodies, although many are quite old, so hopefully with the instant boost of the s/c it should do ok in the auto-x. Like I said, I'm sure it won't be wicked competitive, I just want to go down there with some of my junk and see what happens. I am bringing a few extra parts, but if it does more than break an axle or blow a head gasket I'll be screwed... so I'm not going to do 36 runs like Levi (turbo neon) did last year. Levi is bringing his car again this year, but he's faster than me. He might be top 10, and he's driving it out there!

Good luck.  Put an RPR sticker on the car and represent.

I don't have one... I can cut one out of some sticker stock I have and rock it out!

Nuts.  Take it from a guy rebuilding an engine and transmission in his studio apartment, not having space is a bitch.  My hot tank is my bath tub, and its got an oily ring around it.

Well, good luck to those other two guys representing our cars.

EEEEEHYUGHHHHH That explains the oily sheen on your skin wink.gif

My workspace is the basement and the slightly falling down garage outside. It was fully open to the elements until my bro and I put some plastic over the gaping openings so that we wouldn't get any snowdrifts in there.

I am finishing an 86 CRX for the GRM $2005. Don't want to let too much get out (I shouldn't be wicked competitive, but hopefully top 20 or so), but it is s/c with a small n2o set up. Working on franken-axles now, but the same engine runs 12.6 at 5800' in a civic coupe. Hope to see the other one down there! Wish me luck
