Armrest Handle Repair

Had the handle portion of my armrest break and here is a video explaining how I fixed mine.

 

hopefully it will help someone else who’s fails the same way.  Good parts are so hard to find so if it can be fixed why not.  I was surprised to see how thin and small the plastic core is on these. Doesn't surprise me it failed right there.

Thank you.  May not repair all failures but seems to be holding for how mine failed, which seems like it could be an easy way to fail.

I have two in this condition...guess what is happening this weekend?

Good luck.  So far mine is holding up well.  
 

biggest pains for me in the process was getting the broken part glued back into it’s proper place and staying on top of turning the bolt so it didn’t become a permanent part of the door handle.
