Hello everyone, I have searched and have yet to find someone that has done a write-up on a 2nd gen DOHC blacktop engine into a 3G civic. I'm at wits end with my car, and am stuck as to what mounts to use/get. http://technet.ff-sq...to/84-87hybrid/Shows the whole swap but shows steps for the 1st gen browntop. I'm prepping for the flaming, but I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row. Not trying to pay thousands for a re seal. And all the other fixes. Thanks for the help. My car is a 1.3 carbed model. :/

Is the motor you have a black top d16a1 from a 88-89 integra or a black top ZC from a EF civic/crx?

Did you already order? Mounts are all wrong for the first Gen. If you are going through the trouble of building mounts or buying aftermarket mounts you would be much better served getting a b16 or b18.

That money though lol. I'm just a going to college/mainly full time worker. Lol cash flow isn't too great and I need to be getting something done rather soon. But I'll look into the b series. Not sure how much more a b series swap is. Mind you I won't be tackling this swap myself.

If you want a cheaper swap the 88-89 d16a1 is your ticket.

Do not buy that motor! Everything is wrong! 950? Get a donor 1g teg for less than that and you will way better off.

As Ben said above.

Took some patience but I got my '89 for $550. Running driving car. 247,000 miles but the motor was clean as a whistle (tight).
