Hello all
My name is Greg(ory) from France.
I'm 29 years old, and I've been in the Honda world for the past 6 years, owning various cars :
I started with a civic ED7 ( 1990 with the D16A9 -> 1.6 16v DOHC engine ), but don't have any pictures of that one
Then I bought an EE9 ( 1991 civic with the B16A1 ) that I put back to OEM standards ( when I got her she was in a pityful state )
And ended up putting her into a full race configuration with a monobloc fiber front end, rear fiber bumper, rollcage, etc ...
The last civic I had was an EG4, that originally had a D15Z1 engine in it, but I swapped it with a D16A9 and made her into a daily/track car ( quite a nice car, and very easy to find parts ... )
So that's part of my Honda history
Now to the forum related civic
I recently assisted Lordame ( who's on this forum ) with dismantling the interior from an AH53, and the guy wanted to scrap the car once he had sold a few parts ...
I couldn't let him do that, so I bought the car for a couple of hundred euros ( that is of course once I had managed to convince my wife )
And as often, the most unexpected purchases are the best, aren't they ?
So here are a few pictures of the car as she is now :
As you can see, she's in a pretty good condition.
Only a little bit of rust here and there, that I have dealt with.
The rear section is a bit damaged, but I'll have it put straight soon.
Just need to find a front and rear bumper, front indicators, and probably buy a fiber nose panel.
I had a bucket seat and a steering wheel waiting on my shelves, so bunged those into the car
So that's it for the presentation of the project, now let's get down to the serious stuff ! ( second post to separate things out a bit )
