Rampage--welcome back! Long time no see.

Others--Why does this become another FI versus carb debate? Look at the original post. The guy wants cheap engine mods and his car is carbed. You bring up some valid points about FI, but I am trying to recommend a cheap solution for what the he wants.

Going to Hawaii? You need a Dune Buggy.

WTB: 14x8 or 9" Panasports or Watanabe RS.

WTB: 3g Civic hatch gauge cowl, brown.

When the left front wheel starts to slip, power is transferred back to the right front wheel.  This is why Hondas do right wheel only burnouts.

Again, why does my stock 86 Si spin both tires? (always huh.gif )

Do a full flying burnout. I guaranntee that both contact patches will not be the same size or length.
You're Mad!

Well thank God for that, 'cause if I wasn't, this would probably have never worked.

I have to agree with madkore on the limited slip. Do you get torque steer? That is 1 tire pulling causing it to turn the tire towards the center of the car, therefore torque steer. I know I get it when I get on it hard, usually when not spinning the tires but almost. It definately helps coming out of turns and on straight line launchs. Every drag racer has or wants one.

You'll need 3 CRX motor mounts and 1 teg mount with a notch in the mount near the timing belt....easily done.

Actually it's 1 CRX mount (timing belt side) and 2 Teg mounts (tranny and rear) for the D16A1 swap.. I really like my D16A1/ZC swap.. Great fun and reliable.. smile.gif
RIP Block# D16A12011451.. It will be missed..

I've sat there and smoked my tires until I have to get out of the car and the contact patchest are usually the same size and darkness. TT

Cam, more compression, porting and polishing, more carb, less exhaust system.

Sticky tires, stiffer chassis and suspension.

Buy a used webber 32-36 from ebay. Find a used header from this site. lighten your flywheel. Might have to play with the jets on your carb but in the end your going to have a quicker car.
If your car is CVCC (US spec) find a non CVCC canadian head/and intake manifold from a junk yard This will be a cheap and very effective mod, along with the webber carb will make some nice power.

Good suggestions there, but just keep in mind that you have to modify the Canadian manifold quite a bit for it to take a Weber 32/36.

whoever said that might be right because whenever i am on ice/snow/crappy winter weather and i accelerate i always pull to the right. the the comment above to me anyway, make logical sence.

Another thing I noticed about the non-LSD transmission is that the car acutally corners better on wet roads because the tires have a little more give.
