car
86 CRX DX
I picked this car up in Toronto in the summer of 2005, my 85 CRX was rusted to death.I found this one on RPR
I laugh because he listed the car saying it had no rust, ya right.
Here is the for sale post
crxzc for sale post
There was no ZC, there was tons of rust, no were close to the ad but still worth the 500$
Here is a pic from the day i picked it up.
i picked the car up for 500 $ and it came with the truck load of parts and a d16a1
that i sold to JDC420.
sorry for the huge pics

After playing with the car for a week and finding more rust then i wanted to i pulled it apart.
I started this right befor winter so it sat in the garage like this most of the time, I used it to watch tv in the shop.
I used this time to build up the motor and a parts collection. I also strippped my last rex, I had to cut the car in half to fit them both in the garage at once.

After tearing into the car i found a panel that did not look right, one wack with a chisel and a hammer found lots of pink bondo. I took a hole bunch of it off befor hitting it with a grinder.
After that i cut out any metal with rust on it and sandblasted those areas so it wont come back.

Since the car had been sandblasted i thought i might get the motor back in for a test fit and run
I painted the engine compartment black so oil and shit does not show
After that i put the rest of the motor together.
video of me fighting the dowel
tranny video
Me and a couple friends lifted the car over the motor then used the hoist to lift the engine

Could you make the pics a little smaller? I imagine the 56k guys' modems are having heart attacks by now.

I went and bought my paint today yyaaay. I went with perfomance white and bought 75 grams of pearl to put in it. I also got some pearl silver for the plastics.
Almost everything you will need to paint your own car...
The proper filler, bondo sucks ass....
white paint and pearl
