wheres the best place to mount an electric fuel pump on my crx dx? ive seen it mounted to the firewall on several cars on here running side drafts, but it just doesnt make sense to me being mounted that high. are there any other places i could put it, that others have had success? its for the carter rotary pump. thanks all!

Since I assume your keeping the stock fuel lines which run inside the cabin that gives your two choices: back by the fuel tank and before the fuel lines like the SI's, or on the firewall. As long as your car is short like a hatchback or a CRX mounting it on the firewall should be fine. I've read that when you have a longer vehicle like a wagon the pump can't make up the difference, so it has to be mounted back by the tank. If it were me and I was ditching emission's stuff, I'd use the bracket for the emissions box that bolted near the fuel lines to mount my fuel pump and regulator.

thanks skipper, thats what i needed. im assuming theres a kink or blockage in my feed line somewhere so im gonna run a new steel line beside the old one and put the pump on the firewall and see how it works.

what fuel filter did u use before the pump? do you think the oem filter in the back will be sufficient, and not put too much strain on the pump?
