Hi I've searched the forums here and can't find the answer to my problem. though I'm sure I must be overlooking it.my crx starts but dies almost directly after. I put a new pump and filters on it nothing changed. The only way to keep it running it to open and close the choke slightly by hand. Any comments or suggestions will be duely noted. The car only has 100k miles on it. Its never given me any problems till winter hit. Its an automatic fully original.

The biggest problem these cars have is sucking air on a cold start i.e. a vacuum leak.  back in the day the carburetor base plates were the majority of the problems on these cars.  i have also seen the carburetor halves suck air where they are joined together in the middle.  the vacuum advance diaphragms will also suck in air.  one of the easiest ways we used to diagnose this is to have an assistant start the car and when it starts, spray carburetor cleaner around the base of the carburetor.  if it continues to run, it is sucking air.  remove the air cleaner lid and remove the screen from the carburetor and feel  how the choke blade works.  if it binds up, you have a deformed gasket in the choke heater housing.  try this.  let me know.  good luck.  mark
