So you're looking at a picture that I took earlier today of the plugs that I changed from. I believe that these plugs were 2~3000 miles old, and once removed for cleaning of carbon about 1300 miles ago. They don't seem to be collecting carbon as badly as they did before but two of them had broken porcelain- which confounds me.
  • the ignition, according to my light, is correctly timed
  • there is no sign of something physically contacting the plugs, can't be ruled out though as the broken ones were nos. 2&3 or 1&2
  • the engine isn't running rich enough to have a rich knock... so I think

Any thoughts on what the heck would cause two of my plugs to break? Why the heck my Webber runs so damned rich? Why I haven't won the lottery and paid Endyn to build an entire setup? I'm all ears folks.

Anyway; though the picture turned out to be crap and you can't really make out the other crack, I thought I'd share my latest wtf moment with you guys/gals.

Maybe, the engine got warm a few times but never over-heated.

Damn, that stinks, Ok, couple of questions, 1: what size wires are you running? 2: what coil are you running? 3: battery age.
not that I have ever heard of it happening, but there is the slim possibility that the wires are to thick. Stock is 7mm and then there are 8mm type. Your coil could be going out, probably need some redundant grounds as well (didn't you have an alternator issue a while back?) Battery cell could be overcharging/discharching.

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

Wires: 7mm
Coil: whatever came with the car when you sold it to me ;)
Battery: new, although I have recently discovered an alternator problem
