Did you happent to see the redline on those things? 8500RPM...
Overall, it's an interesting car, I'd at least test drive one.
I am not too much of a fan of the wrap arround lights or the way the rear is designed... there is not enough distance between the rear tire and the back of the car... looks like someone rearended it and no one bothered to stretch the frame back out...
But.. yeah... 8500RPM redline?

that's not really the "new" nsx. it's just a special edition that was built so honda can compete in the GT races..
the NSX is dead.. this year..

Don't forget, US crash standards are some of the strictest in the world. I doubt the Beat or any other microcar would be street legal here. Probably part of the reason the Smart car release keeps getting pushed back.
A while back I was doing some work with the guy that was doing the crash testing and federalization of the Smart for the U.S. market. The Smart actually "crashed" fairly well. I'll have to talk to him to see why the Smart is still in a holding pattern for U.S. release. I think the coolest thing about the Smart is being able to park perpendicular to the curb. This car will be hot with the ladies (who can't parallel park).

Thats prety damn cheap for a mid year one. But were talking what..15 sold every year for the last 14 years? Im not too sure about that but thats only about 300 driving around. What are the chances that you are going to find an early model one for sale?

You guys dont have the smart car in the US? I have seen tonnes of those funny lookin things driven around lately.
Do you have the roadster in Canada? If I were to win the lottery tomorrow, I'm dead serious that the first thing I would do is start work on having a Brabus edition Smart Roadster imported. Before even finishing my Civic and CRX.

Records show that 15 were only sold the first three years then after that they sold about 20 - 30 varying each year. Not a whole lot. I was exagerating the first time..but not very much. Ive seen one. In canada..it was in a calgary shopping mall. I dont know how many they sold in canada..those are the stats from america.

Apparently, it was the first monocoupe MR convertable. Ever.
3cyl, 12v. I wonder if it's at all related to the Insight's powerplant.
All in all, that's a hot little car. From what I hear, they give Miatas a good run.
I wonder how much it'd cost to import one. A guy on HHU just imported a '96 ITR for like $8,500..And that was WITH the cost of shipping.
