I have an 87 si and it has been sitting for a year and i went to start it up(really dead battery) and it wouldnt turn over because i left the key in and it hydrolocked it with gas(all the way up to the air filter). So i pulled the plugs(nasty) and turned it over a couple times to clear the gas out. still didnt start so i went and got some new pluge(NGK) and put them in and after cranking for a couple min it fired up! So i went to drive it around and the efi light came on and it started cutting out and the efi light would start to flash. And now all it does is turn over it wont start! Anyone have any ideas?

Check the codes on the ECU and then report back and we might have some ideas. JS

Perhaps one of the injectors is stuck or corroded in the open mode and the fuel pressure is just pushing the gas into the cylinders. Just a random guess.
Did you check the ECU yet for the codes it may be flashing. It is useful information with minimal information. JS

You don't need one. Look under the front of the passenger seat and count the red blinks the ECU is showing. If there is more than one code it will blink X times, pause, blink Y times, etc. Do that and report back. JS

So the number of blinks will tell you what code it is? Does the key have to be in?

no lights on the computer it was rusty on the bottom and damp? Dumping a crazy amout of fuel i had to pull the exhaust befoe the cat to drain it! The fuel filter is clear! Maybe bad ecu?
