Lol at least you got keys with your first car! My first 2, including the CRX, have no keys.

No keys? Did you steal those cars?

My list-

'58 VW bug (36 hp)
'68 Triumph Spitfire (English POS, put me off of English cars)
'68 VW bug (delusions of Porsche-dom)
'66 Mustang coupe (200 ci six cylinder, what was I thinking?)
'83 VW Cabriolet (first car bought new. I called this car "Jail Bait" because thieves could not resist steling the crappy radios, keying the paint, etc.)
'85 Dodge Diplomat (ex-CHP. No body f*cked with a car that looked like it was on stake out)
'83 Toyota Corolla (hand me down from wife. It got stolen, otherwise I woudl still own it)
'88 Civic LX (bought used, best car I ever owned. I never should have sold it)
'87 CRX Si (still own it)
'90 Accord LX (hand me down from wife, second best car I have owned)
'02 Toyota Camry (I HATED this car. My wife bought it, she gave it to me and I traded it for the '03 Accord all within four months)
'03 Accord LX (still own it)

I am not "in love" with my current '03 Accord. If I could buy a four door Civic with 150hp, new off the dealer's lot, I trade it in a New York Minute.

Lol..Of course not. wink.gif

The Tempo, my Grandma' had the keys.

CRX sat in the desert for about 10 years. Owner misplaced the key, but I've got the title and everything on it, and it's in my name.

I'm gonna need a WayBack machine to remember all the cars I've owned. Now lets see, in pseudo-chronological order...

--1971 Fiat 124 Sport Coupe ( my first true love, should never have sold it :tears: )
--1966 VW Camper ( groovy man, 0-60 ~35 seconds )
--1971 VW Camper
--1965 Chevrolet Corvair
--1976 Opel Manta
--1970 Dodge Dart Swinger
--1979 Toyota Corolla SR5 Liftback
--1976 Plymouth Scamp
--1978 Saab 99LE Kombi
--1964 Ford Galaxy 500
--1985 Saab 900
--1985 Subaru GL Wagon
--1992 Honda Accord EX*
--1993 Toyota Camry XLE*
--1986 Honda CRX DX*
--1987 Toyota Supra Turbo* ( not running, project needs finishing )
--1987 Honda CRX Si* ( I have all the parts for a turbo install except fuel/timing management but I need to get off my lazy ass and do it )

--1976 Honda CB500T* ( not running, project needs finishing )

Note: I haven't included about a dozen cars from the wife & family that I used or maintained.

Or you can pull that odd little engine and put it in a VW and make a badass drag car. tongue.gif

My current car is my 37th car. ohmy.gif

... I'm not sure I can remember them all, but I'll try.

69 Buick Gran Sport
72 Opel Manta
74 Opel Manta
82 Mustang (4cyl, blech, only owned for 4 months, turned it back in)
71 Chevy Chevelle
72 Opel Manta Rally
74 Ford Galaxy 500
79 Ford Thunderbird
74 Chev Blazer (Convertible truck!)
72 Chevy Chevelle
73 Dodge 4wd truck
85 Escort wagon
78 Chrysler Cordoba (YUCK!)
67 Chevy truck
69 Plymouth Valiant
71 Ford Van
74 VW Bus
74 Ford Maverick
73 Ford Torino
74 Ford Van
79 Ford Courrier
92 Toyota Pickup (Finally, a REAL vehicle! This changed my perspective 100%)
85 Toyota Supra
78 GMC 3/4 pickup
72 Chev Suburban
90 Suzuki Swift GT
83 Subaru Brat
85 VW Jetta
72 Plymouth Valiant
71 Dodge Dart
73 MG Midget
78 Ford LTD
85 Chevy Camaro Z28
88 Toyota Cressida
89 Ford Probe
86 Honda Civic Si
94 Mazda MX-6

I could swear I'm forgetting some. Most of them ended up in the junkyard. For a long time I dated a guy who worked in a auction yard, so I got to go try out cars before they would come up for auction. If they were good, I would go bid on them and get them for a steal. cool.gif

Some of these overlap. (Like I owned the Maverick for 6 years, it was just dead reliable, and fast to boot! But I'm down to just one car, though I am looking for a good 84-85 CRX or maybe a Miata for STS2 competition for next year. biggrin.gif )

It was a really cool car and it was much better than it got credit for being. It handled good, rode good, lots of cabin and trunk space, flat floor, and it got unusually good gas mileage for a 60's car. Unfortunately it was just too different and too far ahead of its time. I could still kick Ralph Nader in the nuts for killing its future just so he could make a name for himself. Especially since 1) there were many cars that handled worse and were more likely to spin or flip over, like the VW Beetle, Triumph Spitfire, ANY truck or van, etc., and 2) they had already fixed the handling problem by late '62/early '63, and the new design in '65 handled even better than that. The only things I didn't like about it were that it threw lots of fan belts, and you SHOULD NOT lift throttle in a turn. I've driven a turbo Spyder and they went like stink. for Chevy's redheaded stepchild!
