I just looked at you list again and realized that most of the cars you listed are very different in most respects. Are you more interested in AWD's, FWD's, or RWD's? And what are you looking to spend? I don't think that Comaro's or SHO's are gonna cost 30-34k like the Sti's and EVO's. These cars are both hella sweet but I couldn't justify paying that much for a "street legal race car"...isn't part of the fun MAKING something fast, not BUYING something fast? rolleyes.gif

The SHO is a maintainance nightmare.

The corvettes do fall apart, like all chevy's in my opinion.

Dude I work with has the RX-8 and it is super nice.

Just get an old 240/260Z...strip it down completely, take care of the rust, re-inforce the body, paint it Blood Red w/slight Pearl, slap in an RB26, with a big turbo, find a strong LSD, big tires in the rear, roll cage, race seats, Lower it, full adjustable shocks and struts, camber plates on all 4 corners, stiff springs, 3 puck race disk, ACT Clutch, lightened flywheel, Watanabe Rims......

hrmmm...wait a minute...that's what I want to do next.... ph34r.gif

But it would still be a sick car, slightly sleeperish, and still cheaper than getting an STI.... cool.gif
87 CRX SI, Wide body, and still not running...RB25DET?!?!?!
74 260Z....going to get rebuilt soon....

You didn't include the mini(?)

I want a mini. I figure I've posted that before rolleyes.gif

It's no more expensive and less so than other cars you've listed.

I don't think comparing ferrari maintanence and
japanese car maintanence is fair. If you buy a ferrari
you expect to drive it 2-3 days/yr and have repair bills
higher than most people's mortgages. If you buy a japanese
car, any japanese car, they have spent decades building
a reputation for quality/performance/and standing behind
their products. You are buying their product to get the whole
package, not to find out they have all of a sudden changed
their 'business model'.

Hard times or not, somebody at mitsu better figure out quick that the
reputation that took decades to build can be ruined in a day.

BTW - I would never buy any mitsu because I have 'always heard'
and in most cases seen, that they just don't go more than 100k miles.
This may be true or untrue, that is not the issue, the issue is that
is 'what i've always heard' and thus would never buy one. Which brings
to the point now people are 'hearing' they won't honor their warrenties....

It's like where I used to work, they had a cafeteria, run by outside people,
they weren't making enough money, or were losing money, so what they
did was lower the food quality and raised the prices
sure helped business blink.gif

Well, since you're the type who likes variety, I'd pick a bunch of other cars taht are fast and cool.

Audi S4
Volvo S40 wagon AWD
BMW M3 or M5
imported Ford Focus RS AWD

but hey that's just me.

I'm moving this since I'm taking out a couple cars and adding a couple different ones and I kinda want a AWD or another RWD. I'm starting another.

Need a MSD coil pack or Mass Air Flow sensor housing opened up for your 94 Escort LX? My vote is the STi. 80's Vettes are nice, but fall apart.

how much you want for the coil pack and the MAS housing? got pics?

I have pics on a CD Kodak picture CD. I just have to find out how to send them. $30.00, plus about $5.00 for shipping to Michigan, plus I think I have some new spark plugs that never made it into my LX, Haynes manual, dome light cover (clear), removable cupholder part, Cayman blue green duplicolor paint, and other junk to go with those I think. Let me know and I'll try to have my brother show me how to post pictures. wink.gif

I had a 93 LX and had the MSD coil on for like 8-10k before my tranny blew up. My original coil pack was bad so when I put the new MSD coil pack on it felt great. Don't know about extra power because my original was bad, so of course it felt better, but I don't know if that was because my old one was really bad or it actaully made more power. The MAF housing didn't go on because the 91-93's had a different housing and sensor, and plug than the 94-96's. So it is just sitting.
