I will in Costa Mesa, CA this coming Saturday at the http://socalchallenge.com/ autocross, putting my car and driving skills where my mouth is.

I would be great to see anyone from this site at an event, but I have a special place in my heart for those who hate on me so freely.

Scott

I have no "hate" maybe some confusion regarding you life's ambition to rid the world of misinformation from your pulpit.

despite our differences we do have somethings in common.

Oh god I would love the opportunity to race you. LOL

but the 8222km round trip in the CRX won't happen this year.

I would actually be more interested in beating you in your own car.

I'm thinking my car wouldn't be fair.

or you could drive mine. But then that wouldn't prove your engineering skills.

Hey Mark,

What do you think it would cost us to rent a truck and 2 car trailer and take BOTH of our cars down!

But we have to be back by Sept 8th, I've got a lapping day at Mosport.......BTW Scott/Mark feel free to come and join me there!

:)

Rob

Scott, lots of people on this site race their cars; sorry not every one is in the same region as you. Maybe invite some one you know from rpr in the socal area to go check out the action as a freind, not as a humility challenge.

I will be in the area, but I don't know if I'll be able to break away. If I do happen to show up, I'll look for you.

As normal too far for me to drive. But on Saturday I will be in Wilmington, NC introducing novice to auto-x and guiding others (as little as I can) at our Novice School. Then on Sunday will have our auto-x.

Really? Out of all the Camaro body styles, that one is my least favorite. Compared to the others, it looks fat and bloated.

The Southern California 1st/3rd community is generally not interested in autocross which is a shame. I keep inviting the locals to come out and rarely get an acceptance.

But I have found that if you offer a hot dog and a soda they show up ;)

One day I will make an East Coast/Midwest tour to coincide with the Niagra meet... maybe this coming year I will go up to the San Francisco area for an autocross weekend if some NorCals show up.

I love the passion on this site and I have ALWAYS said that if you can emperically demonstrate the
superiority of your opinion I will be the first to join your position. I never claimed to have total knowledge, just the first hand experience of a guy who has tried just about every thing.

Scott, the weird guy who advocates less unsprung weight, lighter distributor springs and not second
guessing the Honda engineers.

Whoa buddy... The split bumper Camaro is the best one they made, period.

Road & Track magazine: "When they get around to listing the top good-time inventions of the late 20th century, we're willing to bet that right up there with the hang gliders, ultra lights, sailboards and jet skis you'll find the Honda Civic CRX. And we're willing to bet that the CRX won't be at the bottom of the short list--particularly if the CRX in question is an Si."

70-73 Camaro's are killer bad ass.  Split Bumper is the best.

"Scott, the weird guy"   you empirically demonstrated that, no argument here.
