Glad to hear that you are up and running again Chris. Are you bring the car to Sarge's?

Elliot

As long as I don't have anymore car problems, it's gonna be at Sarge's. (Fingers crossed X)

Turns out as we found out the Accord 5th gear swap I bought from a member here was ACTUALLY a 86-87 Integra 5th gear, shorter than my 88-89 Integra gear set that was already in there. Been too long to do anything about it but I am kinda pissed. It's been sitting in a box for a while then the trans blew so we figured it'd go in while the new trans was out. But low and behold, my crew chief (A Honda genius) figured it out and notified me. Oh well, you live, you learn. dry.gif

Not much going on with my CR-X lately, but got my High Power Prelude radio/casette in with the console and EQ;

Well, it's been a long time. I wanted to pass this CRX down to my son, as he loves it sooooo much. He has the Tomica little Ballade CR-X he drives around on his little city rug playset. I have neglected this poor little CRX. Sad. I love it. He loves it. Since my daughter was born in 2004 the CRX has been gradually getting less usage, and in 2007 when my son was born the Honda Odyssey gets most of the duty. I drove it once last year, and since we live in a townhome (we've been trying to get out of), and have to keep it tagged and insured whether we drive it or not. The stress of daily family life has ground me down. My wife and I are possibly getting a divorce, so I will be selling the little CRX here maybe August or September in order to pay legal fees and reduce outgoing money. I don't know if I will sell everything in one big blast or separating the collectible stuff. Anyways, I know the last few years I have been mainly a lurker since family life has consumed all my time. I wanted to say goodbye to all of you I met at the various CRX meets. Niagara, the Sgt Pepper meets, etc. I have great memories that I will fondly recall for a lifetime. When I get organized I will list up stuff I will be selling. Sad to have to do this but I will probably lose the car anyways. I don't plan to part out the car, but the collection. So, after a long, long hiatus, this thread now comes to a disappointing end.

Very sorry to hear that!  I wish you all the best in the next chapter of your life.  Who knows, CRXs will still be around in the next 5 years... you can pick back up where you left off then.

Damn dude. Sorry to hear that. I hope when it's all said and done that you can find another crx and work your magic on it again. Best of luck with the personal stuff!

So, it's been a while folks. Thanks to Tom for bringing RPR back from the brink.
So, no new pics. My shitbox CRX is tucked under a car cover in the anticipation of snow this weekend. I haven't driven it in over a year. I had a fall a couple years ago that messed up my right hip and knee, so I have been driving my soft Camry. Been thru marriage trouble that almost cost me the car. The one glint of hope is my son. He has the bug. He loves JDM Japanese cars, specifically Skylines and Supras, but he loves my CRX. I took him out in it a year and a half ago, and while not as fast as modern cars, it is a tremendously fun car to drive and ride in, and when we took it out, people would look at it, or comment to us because in today's car age, it is fairly unique. He wants to fix is up and go to car shows with me, but it needs a lot of work. He is 12 now, so he has some time. I would love to hand it down to him one day, but the thought of him driving it, terrifies me. My Camry has traction control, ABS, stability, decent wipers, great A/C. The CRX is kinda squirrelly sometimes, and demands 100% attention, unlike the Camry that drives itself while I shave, watch TV, and bake cinnamon rolls. Just kidding, I can't bake. But seriously, due to its size and lack of safety features, he would have to be much older and mature before I hand it over to him. My photobucket is also gone, with most of my pictures, so once I find new hosting, I will try to post some when it gets warmer. Nice to see RPR back!

I'm so glad to read that you still have the CRX in the family.  Yours was always one I enjoyed seeing photos of back in the day.  Such a good color combo.  I totally understand what you mean about the safety, or lack thereof, with the CRX.  It's a small miracle I survived my highschool years, seeing as a 1G was my first car.

It's been fun seeing where folks build's have ended up.
