I've been scouring redpepper for the last year while doing this build. This site has been a great help! I would like to give a little thanks to everyone. I, regretfully, haven't participated in many of the topics thus far... But I have been gathering a lot of info on the build.
I started with a '86 68k mile Si rustbucket that I purchased for $25, which I drove home (barely) and finally came across a mint shell that I purchased for $150. I was highly excited to find such a shell in the kind of condition that it was. It was an '87 64k mile hf and the seller towed the car 50 miles to my dad's house at no extra charge. I have slowly been putting things together on this build and I'm making a couple of pitstops and enjoying my work along the way. The end result will be a hf body crx with a 14b mounted to a d16z6. And the car is no where near complete!
I'll list all the mods later on, but here are a few pics.

At this point nothing has been done to the car except some light priming.

Looks like a project. Stick with it and you will have a nice car. Are you sure you want to jump right in with a motor swap? Lots of things to work out without the motor swap issues but if you have the know how, good luck.

Very interesting that you bring that up... I didn't mention that I have already done one swap... I am currently at my first pitstop.
I'm in the progress of loading images to photobucket. I'm slowly building this topic up. Check back in about 30 minutes.

what header is that?
Pacesetter, regretfully. It doesn't carry heat into the exhause system like I would like it to. I need to heat-wrap it sometime. It seals very well with honda oem gaskets and flows better than stock.

shouldn't of got the Pacesshiter
Yeah, I know that's the general consensus. But I couldn't pass up a brand new header for $35, I was just going to use the stock header until a friend of mine offered this up.

This car is now FOR SALE. My project came to a crashing halt last week. My '89 TEG parts car was stolen. I have no desire to build this machine anywhere past where it is now. I have all the fenders and many other spare parts. Greensboro, NC, 27405.
