Also, that one won't shatter on curbs and such like fg.

what's the fuss over stock front lips?

You shouldn't be hitting curbs in a CRX anyway.

I want the stock lip in carbon fiber so we have an option like the newer egs and eks have with lips. Something noticeable and clean looking, but not a fat body kit that scrapes on every dip.

I have a good one to mold off of and know that people have been looking for a reproduction of the OEM front lip. Do we have 5-6 buyers ready now? A CF part would run about $299 and a FG maybe $225.

OEM ones are <$10 at PAP...I have several.

I'm w/Scott on this one...if you're going through the trouble of making a mold, make a deeper 'dam' w/provisions for adding a splitter, not just repo'ing the OEM one out of fg or cf. BTW, I've found the OEM one incredible durable.

FWIW, I made a 1.5" deeper front dam (as compared to OEM; 3.5" total depth as measured from 'bumper') using aluminum and ABS for ~$20. No splitter, yet, however, one could be added easily.

EDIT:
In the interest of full disclosure: the lips I have a from 1G Integras which will fit 1/3G Civics w/minor end trimming. Also, they can be hard to find 'intact' at Pull-A-Part due to PAP putting the car in the air on wheels under the rad support (most of the time the lip is damaged in the process). I do admit to never seeing an intact 1G CRX lip there.

In hind sight, I should not of implied that the OEM 1G CRX lips are that easy to find. I only mention the PAP lips as I thought the price of the proposed repops a little high, although probably not out of line w/the costs to produce a mold and lips in limited numbers.
