i was on my way home from work and i got off the frwy and bam!!!! on the ground sad.gif
had jus drove 45 min on the freeway and right as i slowd to about 30 it broke
im really luck it didnt brake while i was on the freeway

yeah i was super lucky.
i was fine nobody got hurt
it did stop in the middle of the intersection
tow truck dragged it up the flat bed.
i was sad.
but i think everything is fixable

Oem lca or an aftermarket replacement. Was it the balljoint that failed or the arm?

Had the same thing happen 3 years ago to me in my 85. Make sure the CV axle is not damaged. When my tire folded back it snatched the cv axle out and screw up the threads. It also destroyed my tie rod end. I would also get it aligned when you put the new LCA on it. I was going 40 when my folded up and it completely fooked everything up front as far as adjustments.

Glad nobody got hurt!

Ouch. I had one break on me before, only it was while turning slowly in a parking lot...... no other damage besides the LCA (the ball joint stud had sheared). Glad no one was hurt!

i managed to have my drivers side wheel fly off on the freeway at 80. i know how spooky that stuff is man just be thankful it can be fixed

i believe it was oem. it might have been changed by the previous owner. but i never messed with it.
i havnt had a chance to look at it closer yet i was in vegas this weekend blink.gif
