The 1000 grit worked just fine in most places, all the scratches came out. A couple spots (I guess where I sanded harder) still have scratches but I plan on hitting them with the 2000. The electric buffer made all the difference in the world as far as getting things shiny.

Note: 1G CRX's are not durable against late model motorcycles...
