I'm wondering if you can get at the electrical contacts for the headlight switch, and if so, whereabouts are they? (in the block thing around the steering column, or within the arm itself?)
I'm getting the symptoms of dirty contacts, I have to keep the rotating switch balanced between just parking lights and headlights on, as soon as it clicks into the headlights on position the lights go out (could also be corroded mind you).
Its the exact same deal as my ignition switch did before i pulled that apart and cleaned it out/cleaned off the corrosion.
Help would be appreciated
thanks

there is a lot of little parts inside there if you take it apart good luck getting it back together. you might try some electical contact cleaner spray it in there and blow it out with compressed air

that would be wicked dude, its only been a couple times now, but before i was able to wiggle it and it would eventually work, but especially now that its getting dark out it doesnt seem particularly safe
