All my motor swap pics were on 35mm film w/paper pics, but I finally scanned them in. Motor swap in 2002?

Well, my son was down for a nap, my daughter over at her friend's house playing. My wife wanted to chill, so I got a few minutes to take the car cover off the CR-X, take it to the car wash, and a short shakedown cruise. Put in the new headlights. Next step is to replace the red stripe with black. The Autopal headlights with PIAA bulbs and put the orange bumper lights back in;

Then took it on a short cruise. Feels good to drive the CR-X again. However the paint is getting REALLY bad. The arches are starting to rust, hood is cracking, roof is faded and peeling. But the pics look decent I think.

Thanks! Hopefully I'll have a matching wagon one day. I really like the polished phone dials. I think maybe more than the MR5s, but maybe that's just because they are new to me.

I think the phone dials suit the car better. MR5s look great just better on a DA or EF IMHO.

Yeah, my brother stopped by this weekend with his WRX and we chatted about our cars. He liked the MR5s better. He said the phone dials looked to "80's". Hello, that's the theme I'm going for. Besides, if you go to a car show/meet, most cars have wheels with spokes. How many have just holes?

No real progress on the CR-X, but my son got a new car. We just gave it an overhaul and will begin tuning soon.

Bad news. I was driving the CRX today running some errands for the wife and myself, and driving home there was an explosion, smoke, and transmission was slush. Little bits of metal and oil on he road under the car. I am thinking I wasn't paying attention and shifted from 1st to 2nd, and maybe back to 1st instead of 3rd. Anyways I was able to glide a while, engine fine, and called AAA. Towtruck towed me home but having the CRX towed home is so humiliating. I really hardly ever drive the car, and now it dies. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif So pissed off right now,at the car AND myself. I drive an automatic all day everyday at work, and guess I figured my memory would just take care of the shifting. F#@&!

Well, I guess I'll be updating my Forsale thread.

Alright! Thanks to Mr Wilq, my car is running under it's own power now. Big thanks to Will for coming down to get it and swapping transmissions so quickly. He said the diff pin was wore pretty well thru and may have been like that when I got the trans for the ZC swap. Pictures say 1000 words, maybe more. Enjoy!

Glad to hear that you are up and running again Chris. Are you bring the car to Sarge's?
