I have an 84 model. It has a sunroof, which I think is aftermarket. They didn't come stock that way, right? It is the flip up style but the latch wore out and I can't use the sunroof.

What do you guys know/recommend for this situation? Is there just another direct replacement, or does anyone have a latch I could buy or know where I could get one?

Thanks
Ben

Okay, I give up.

I needed to know if the flip up sunroof came with any stock honda crx's at a minimum.

No. No flip up from the factory/original equipment to the best
of my knowledge.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

Anybody know of an aftermarket flip-up replacement? Jcrxb20, thanks for the offer. I'll let you know if I decide to go that route.

Good luck finding a non-cancered CRX. My flip-up roof didn't leak as far as I knew.

Ahaa.....

Check out what I found...

Only problem is the prices are steep. I may be better off taking the broken latch to a machine shop for a replica or other solution.

It would help if you had a pic of the latch. More than likely someone took one off an Si hatchie. Heck find one at a yard and get the latch off of it.

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

Good idea. I'll post a pic later tonight. The sunroof itself seems to be 15x30.5. It works fine though, just need a latch solution.

I've got the pop-up sunroof glass (tinted) and latch from a 1986 Civic 1500S(CDM). I will measure it tomorrow and see what I come up with.
