I'm looking for a compleat, running condition engine from a crx-hf, to put in my '85 crx hf that is burning a ton of oil, and suffers from a bad rebuild by one of the past owners, low miles, and good compretion would be ideal, and I would be happy to take any hf parts that were also removed that are in good shape.
will any 85-87 hf engine work?

I am close to Minneapolis MN, but am planing on doing a road trip thru northern californa and Portland Oregon in the coming weeks, and should have room to pick up an engine.

I'll have a recently rebuilt one out around spring break. It only has 26,000 miles on it. Its runs perfect. Rebuilt carb and transmission. But I live in Goergia. We might be able to work out shipping if your interested.

1stRenX: I found someone with one within driving distance with one, altho an already rebuilt hf engine is very tempting, I'm sure I shouldn't ask, but any idea what shipping might cost?

87Hf'er: The pack rat side of me would love to save your DX engine from the scrap yard, but I already have one sitting in the yard with 60,000 on it.
I beleave there was someone a month or so back on here that was looking for one... not sure if they are still looking for one or not.
