I hope im putting this in the right place.. but ... I have an 86 Crx Si.. I'm going to be pulling stock motor/tranny out and swapping in a brown top d16a1... found it in the junkyard for 400 dollars buying the whole car.. 87 Acura Integra... If Something from this car will swap into my CRX, I'll be swapping it heh.. Ive done some research on this and I beleive the brown top's are direct swaps, plug n play type swap.. If anyone can confirm this, or if anything major is needed to be done, please let me know before i begin.. ill be posting pictures of the progress and trying to well document it.. I'm going to go buy it in the morning....

Here is a picture, sloppy picture, of my crx...

ill get a better camera, and start posting alot more pictures detailing everything involved, hopefully it can become some sort of guide or reference for others..

Those wheels are a house brand special at autozone, I don't think they came stock on anything. Not too bad looking though.

When you get those pistons, make sure they're P29 or PM7, not PG6 or PG6B. Some places sell them as "interchangeable" and they're not.

You can start with this but get yourself the PGMFI diagrams from donor and the CRX and it will make your life a whole lot easier. Yellow boxes are the difference in the browntop swap. JS

At a glance the rims remind me of some Z Racing rims I use to sell at Sears years ago. I can't remember for sure but think they were style/type 52.

Just looked around on Sears' site and could not find them now. Closest was some SSC style 40 rims, but the center cap area was changed to look more "tunerish".

Gawd, I remember those stupid Z-Racing rims from working at sears... I hated them all, and so many people bought them for like... mini vans and stuff. It was funny, but I always got tips for installing them.

OP - Read the title to that ad you bought the pistons from... THAT is why I said to make sure, b/c those pistons aren't for the 86-87 motor, even though they'll fit and can be used. If someone were looking for a direct replacement, those weren't what they wanted, and the ad states that they are.

Anyway, just check when you actually get them, to make sure.
