Just some good data at the end of the video from the temp stickers and paint.  I need to pull the wheel again as I found another temp comparison chart for the paint.

#581541 Any Idea Where To Start With This?

Posted by CSPCRX on 17 April 2024 - 09:51 PM in 1G CRX

Did you replace the fuel filter that’s under the hood by the wiper motor?  Also if it sat that long I would drain the gas and put fresh fuel in it too.  Sounds like a miss.

Good luck.  So far mine is holding up well.

biggest pains for me in the process was getting the broken part glued back into it’s proper place and staying on top of turning the bolt so it didn’t become a permanent part of the door handle.

Video coming soon but want to report had a successful event. Was able to complete all four 20 minute sessions with no issues. Dropped time every session.

After 1st session I adjusted tire pressures.
After 2nd session added some rear bar to get more rotation. Helped but still not as much as I wanted.
After 3rd session I added a bit more bar and dropped another 1/2 second but still not as much rotation as I want.

will continue to refine this. Larger tires in the rear helping a lot with turn speeds but that extra grip is taking it away some rotation. Lots of room left on the bar so ill find the sweat spot soon.

How is the car coming?

#581518 Some Brake Upgrades

I realized that I didn’t mention the fact that the new rotors are 2.5lbs lighter than the others.  So thats 5lbs less rotating and unsprung weight.  Who doesn’t like extra benefits like that!

Amazing details and information!

could be the chassis or subframe that’s bent.  A shop could through it on a rack and tell you.  I had mine straightened once long ago.

#581513 Two Car Shows In Two Days!

Posted by CSPCRX on 02 March 2024 - 05:20 PM in General Posts

Knowing that it was going to be at Honda I spend about 6-7 hours doing my best to shine it up!  Time well spent helped it show as best as it could!

I honestly was prepared for them to tell me no when I asked.  Knowing it’s a one of a kind car, but I am so glad I did ask.

I honestly never used them, just made mental note just in the event I needed them.  Is it possible one of the hinges is loose?

#581492 Armrest Handle Repair

Thank you.  May not repair all failures but seems to be holding for how mine failed, which seems like it could be an easy way to fail.

#581490 Armrest Handle Repair

Posted by CSPCRX on 17 January 2024 - 01:50 PM in 1G CRX

Had the handle portion of my armrest break and here is a video explaining how I fixed mine.

hopefully it will help someone else who’s fails the same way.  Good parts are so hard to find so if it can be fixed why not.  I was surprised to see how thin and small the plastic core is on these. Doesn't surprise me it failed right there.
