...good thinking! The early miata rims are light, light, light! Be wary of the bearing hub diameter and offset, also, brake caliper clearance could be an issue.

That said, I too am interested in any info anybody has on this.

miata rims work fine, you will have to take a dremel to the center bore to make them fit a honda tho, its only a small difference you need to open it up, but they dont fit very well without

The bmw wheels come off of 80s 3 series, the vw ones I can't remember. A little testing at the local pick-a-part will tell the story.

also the 2002's rims will fit, they have a 40 ofset. in reguards to the vw, I believe they made a nice mesh appearance one for the FOX.

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

VW Jetta alloy wheels from the mid/early 80's, if you can find them fit awsome, look good, and are pretty light, I have a set of Rabbit GTI rims as well, but I don't like them, they are just to heavy for my taste.
VW wheels rely on the center hole to center the rim on the hub, insted of relying on the lug nuts like honda's, so 4 lug VW rims work on honda's but don't count on honda rims on a VW.

I have a pair of 14s that I run slicks on. Take them to a wheel shop and they can open the hub center up a bit. Cost me $20 and they are perfectly hub centered now. Sorry no pics but I must say they are light.

Well, these are the early 14x5.5 Miata wheels, and on a Civic, not a CRX... I recommend the later 14x6 straight 7 spoke wheels (wider/lighter), but any will work as long as the center bore is opened.

Nice! Great info...the early miata wheels look good too, imo. I'll keep my eyes out for the 14x6 versions.

Hey!! I'm rolling on those too (other wheels need to be polished and tires are shot).. wink.gif Best part, they are 14X6.5.. They work great.. So far the widest 14" stockers that seem to fit.. They look cool too.. cool.gif
