Well, we are sold out of the first production run. If you missed the boat on this run, don't worry. We will get more. We just need 10 more people (much better than 20!) to fill a second run. I will be posting up details soon!

Tein man is coming to a 1g/3g near YOU!!!!

UPDATED AS OF 11/28/2007!!!!

PARTS HAVE COME IN AND MANY HAVE SHIPPED. THANKS FOR MAKING THIS A REALITY PEOPLE! I HAVE ONE SET LEFT AND AFTER THAT WE NEED 10 MORE PEOPLE TO GET ANOTHER PRODUCTION RUN!

1) Contents of Medieval Pro / Tein Damper Kit:
2 front struts - short case - 16 point adjustable
2 rear shocks - short case - threaded body - 16 point adjustable
1 box
1 Caution sticker
1 Instruction manual
1 pair spanner wrenches
4 dust caps (to protect the click adjusters)
4 bump stops
2 spring seats - rear
2 spring locks - rear
2 custom upper spring seat adapter - rear
2 springs - rear - your choice of spring rate
There will be NO MORE FLUCTUATION in kit contents.

2) EDFC compatibility: Not without severe hood clearance issues.

3) Valving Specs:
Front Dampers, valved to be adjustable for torsion bar diameters available, from 21-29mm. The specific valving spec is to 7 kg-mm, plus or minus 2 kg. Revalving and rebuilding available at additional cost of $110 per corner. Custom valving at point of presale distribution available at additional cost of $100 per corner.

Rear Dampers, valved for 280lb/5 kg springs, adjustable for +/- 2kg without revalving. Revalving and rebuilding available at additional cost of $110 per corner. Custom valving at point of presale distribution available at additional cost of $100 per corner.

Front Torsion Bars, not included, 21mm or higher recommended. Available through Heeltoe Automotive.

Rear Springs, your choice!!! Choose your spring rate from 2.0 kg to 20 kg. Baseline damper levels for the rear will be for 5kg. Choice of rates from 3kg to 7kg will be available without the need for revalving of the shocks. Rates outside the 3-7 kg range will require ravalving of the damper.[/b]

We have provided the following driving impression chart to help you choose a spring for the rear:

Here is a spring rate chart to help you convert spring rates from Kgf/mm to lbs/in!

Panhard Bar, recommended but not included. Medieval Pro Panhard Bar available soon!!! (estimate end of summer)

4) The wait: Order is being placed the week of 3/19. Prototype will be available within 30 days. I am paying $300 out of my own pocket to make sure I get a prototype shipped to the USA as fast as possible with air shipping. After that, we'll order and have the parts made and shipped from Japan. New ETA for the actual final product is about June, or around 60 days after final approval is given on the prototype. The 60 days is needed to produce our kits, and to ship via sea. Faster shipping will be available at the cost of $300, meaning the product would arrive in the beginning of May or so.

5) FIRM AND FINAL PRICE: $1199, without camber plates. There will be NO MORE FLUCTUATION in price.

You probably notice a price increase here. Price increase is due to many factors, including the need for a custom rear spring seat adapter (an off-the-shelf unit is not available, so we need to pay for engineering a new one and the production of the part), and coordination of custom rear spring option. Since we are having the Teins boxed without springs, but we are contracted to buy a set of springs with each coilover set we buy, Tein has imposed a surcharge for the extra paperwork and labor involved. I was shocked to learn this, but upon reflection I realized that getting a custom spring rate would be more valuable to most of you than setting the spring rate to 5kg. This option saves you from needing to buy a second set of springs at an even higher cost if the kit does not come with the rates you prefer. I want to do everything I can to compensate for the price here, perhaps a coupon for Heeltoe Automotive product, or future Medieval Pro product. CF hood discounts, NRGCELL racing battery discounts, revalving discounts, and Tein shipping discounts are also options. What do we think?

6) Camber caster plates: Complications in coordinating 2 different vendors force me to sever the camber plate kit from the Tein purchase. Re-engineering of the camber plate is being performed by a master fabricator right now. This WILL BE the BEST camber plate ever offered for this this car. Camber plate price is yet to be determined, but we are determined to keep cost below $299. Special prices will be offered to those who placed a deposit on Teins with the intention of getting camber plates along with the coilover kit. I do intend to make the camber plates available at the time the Teins are released.

Reserve a set!!!!! Limited availability!!!! There are only 4 sets that do not have deposits on them!!!!!

PLEASE READ THIS PARAGRAPH!
We are taking preorders NOW! We are accepting initial payments to reserve a future kit for yourself. Basically, you are putting a deposit to get a set from the first run. Yes, it will apply to the final cost of your kit should you follow through with the purchase. Yes, we will refund it later if you back out, but there will be a 5% penalty for doing so. Yes, you can transfer your deposit to another person without incurring a penalty. No, shipping or tax are not included. Shipping within the USA is $40. To most countries outside the USA shipping is $150, and we ship USPS so you will not be charged brokerage fees. Tax is applicable to California residents only. We do not charge paypal or credit card fees to you. We will take partial payments from you if you like (layaway, if you will). We can take as many payments as you like, with $350 minimum amounts.

2) EDFC compatability: Sources indicate this kit WILL have EDFC compatability. This is contrary to a previous report that indicated either cc or edfc would be offered but not both. Camber will be standard and EDFC will be optional.

Optional at additional cost. However we will be offering the EDFC at a pretty crazy low price for those who want it.

Lol, I already know how YOU feel about this. Thanks for the post anyway wink.gif
