I have been having some trouble locating a MT for my D16A1/ZC build. A co-worker was telling me that the MT from a `91(?) DX hatch will fit. Is there any truth in that? Oh, the car is an `85 CRX Si.

That will not work in your car. You will need a G1 teg D16 or a early gen ZC tranny.

The CG transmission is the only one that will fit the D16A1/Integra ZC. You can find them in 1986-89 Integras.

The later ZC's were able to accept other trannys which is probably what your co-worker was talking about.

ARGH! So, if I have an 86-89 D16A1 (1G Teg) I have to use the tranny from the Teg in my `85 CRX? Damn, having trouble locating one here.....

Thanks Jeff! I found 2 or 3, within 300mi.

One question tho. Is there a difference between the `86/`87 and the `88/`89 trannys?
