I was driving the other night and at a red light I couldn't get the car into gear. I shut off the car, and it would go into gear easily. I then restarted it, and this time it went in and drove fine for about 30 min. Then this happened again but I quick double clutched and it went in smooth again, and drove fine all the way home. When I got home I checked the clutch cable and it was a little loose so I tightened it a couple turns. I have been driving another one of my cars since then just because I really dont feel like towing it again this month (ball joint failed while going around a turn luckily it was just a field of grass in front of me and luckily my fender was cracked prior). Do you think it was just the cable or should I check for some other symptoms. It is a browntop engine with a blacktop tranny. I havent noticed any slipping at all in the past. What do you guys think it was.
Thanks as always

Sounds to me like it was the loose cable. If it does it again it might be time to check the clutch. If there's no grinding or pop-outs then the internals are probably g2g

Look for the infamous fatigued clutch pedal bracket. Stick your head under there with a flashlight and look at the bracket the clutch pedal pivots on.
